At The Sauter Law Firm, we aren’t your typical lawyers. If you are looking for fancy suits and mahogany desks, you might have to look elsewhere. Instead, we are real, down-to-earth people who have made it our mission to better our Westside Cincinnati community.
Tom Sauter is the owner and founder of The Sauter Law Firm. His practice focuses on legal issues faced by older adults, Elder Law.
Prior to founding the firm, Tom practiced in eDiscovery, insurance compliance, mass torts, and class actions. The Sauter Law Firm is the embodiment of his desire to get back to basics and serve his local community he’s come to love since he moved to Ohio. He’s at his best with a pot of hot french-press coffee, a problem to solve, and the client that asked him to help.
Tom moved to the historic Westwood neighborhood in 2014. He loves books, long hikes, gardening and board games of any kind.
Jamie Shimp is an associate of The Sauter Law Firm. He focuses on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Guardianships.
He joined the firm in 2021 after graduating from University of Cincinnati College of Law. During law school, he clerked for personal injury firms, criminal defense firms, and the Kenton County Prosecutors Office.
He enjoys helping clients navigate some of the most difficult decisions they may face from choosing a healthcare power of attorney to dealing with loved one’s estate administration.
Jamie moved to Ohio in 2018 after graduating from West Virginia University with his wife Jadeyn.
He primarily enjoys spending time with her and their four animals.
